Read out loud.
School and life can be stressful with so much going on. It’s important to find activities and routines that can help you feel calm, refreshed and focused. Stress can build up and overwhelm a person in different ways. How we deal with stress can be helpful for times when we are stressed about things or knowing how to help others in moment of need.

Activity & Discussion
Today your advisory is to play a game to break down ways to de-stress.
Needed Materials: Strips of paper, pencils/pen (for everyone to write with)
Instructions:
1. Today we will be playing a game called The Game of Things. In this game we will be learning about stress and have fun at the same time. I will read a question out loud. Everyone is to write down an answer. I will then collect the slips and then read them all out loud for all to hear. The goal of the game is to guess who said what. Each person who guesses correct will get a point. Most points wins.
2. Pass everyone a small strip of paper. Read one of the cards in your bag. Do not have the students write their name on the paper.
3. Collect all of the answers.
4. Read all answers out loud.
5. Go around the table and have each student give a guess who said what.
6. When someone guesses correctly they earn a point. The person who was guessed is OUT.
7. Continue until everyone has been guessed and there is a winner.
8. When you are done....play again with a new card.
